Maripan will play in the Copa América
While three Monegasques will compete in the Euro, which is due to start this Friday, we will also have to take a look at the American continent between June and July since Guillermo Maripan will take part in the Copa América with Chile. The AS Monaco central defender was selected by Ricardo Gareca for this competition, and he should soon be followed by Folarin Balogun with the United States.
Maripan (47 caps) did not play La Roja’s only preparation match against Paraguay, not yet fully at 100% of his abilities after his hamstring injury suffered at the beginning of May. But the Chilean coach had affirmed a few days earlier that he was fully recovered and that he could participate in the Copa América.
